Smooth ended with issue 110, unlike the final issue of Madame, Smooth did announce it's end in 109:

"I hope you will enjoy this issue of SMOOTH as I regret to have to tell you that this is the penultimate issue of this long-standing magazine devoted entirely to the pleasures and sensuality of the wonderful feelings that one attains by submerging oneself within the all enveloping all consuming passion that is RUBBER Yes, rubber and all its associated fabrics leather, vinyl etc., and the feelings which they all invoke.

I am very sad and I know you will be too that the fact that our world has become so mainstream in fashion and on television is the reason why it no longer holds that mysterious, secret, deep longing which only covert adoration could satisfy and has been the main reason why circulation figures have decreased so much over the last few years, which make publication of the magazine no longer feasible, Everything is in your face these days and I think we are all the poorer for it. Where is the mystery of life? Where are those secret little thrills ? Displayed for all the world to see. Shame!

Well I do hope you will enjoy this issue and please don't delay, send in your contribution for the final issue of this, our very special magazine. You can't send in too soon. We can then plan a final issue and say good-bye to SMOOTH."
